What is going to happen.

           Many people may know what is going to happen if everyone doesn't cooperate and stop global warming. Several bad things will happen! Be sure to read this page.

The Icecaps

          First of all, the icecaps will melt by the rising temperature. The melting icecaps means that it will destroy the habitats of many animals living in the north/south pole. Which includes penguins and polar bears. Animals used to living in the cold will suffer greatly because of the rising temperature.

           The melting of icecaps will also lead to a flood and a dillution. When the icecaps melt, it would increase the amount of water in the ocean, which will cause a great flood in many countries.  A small country, which is just an island, is having a great problem with this flooding problem. The whole island is begining to sink into the ocean, being flooded by the ocean.  Florida in the United States is also afraid of a flood destroying the city of New Orleans, a beautiful city.

          As i said before, the melting would lead to a dillution. The salt water of the ocean will be affected when great amounts of fresh water enters it, dilluting the salt water. That will kill many fish in the sea. This will affect the whole food web, since the fish is eaten by other land animals like birds and humans.

The Rising Temperature

            This will affect many things. This is also the cause of the icecaps melting. Not only does the rising temperature affect the icecaps, it leads to food shortage and a struggle for the animals.

           The rising temperature is affecting the crops that we, humans eat. This leads to food shortage, which makes food's price soar. The wheat problem was discussed in the summit held in Hokkaido, Japan.

          This not only affects humans but other animals as well. Many of the insects and animals in hot, exotic places are thriving in places that used to have a normal temperature. Humans, who are not aware of these little changes, may die from a sting from a bug from somewhere far away because they do not have immunity to those rare bugs.
